  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Broth (or water) to cover the beef

Instructions

  1. 1. Sear the beef in olive oil in a Dutch oven until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pot, sauté chopped onions until translucent. Add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  3. 3. Stir in curry powder, turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon; cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the seared beef back to the pot, pour in broth to cover, and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
  5. 5. While cooking, prepare rice according to package instructions and warm garlic naan as directed.
  6. 6. Serve hot over rice with naan on the side.
