  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for one minute before removing from heat.
  3. Strain the brewed tea into a pitcher and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes and add 4-5 mint leaves to each glass.
  5. Pour ½ cup of apple juice into each glass followed by ½ cup of brewed tea.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice to each glass and stir gently.
